Hello! I’m Heidi.

I’m a Certified Gestalt Therapist and New York State Licensed Psychoanalyst, yoga and mindfulness teacher, and former professional violinist. I am no stranger to struggle, uncertainty and loss, and it was my own quest for healing that led me to my passion and life’s work.

As a somatic psychotherapist, I’m constantly drawing inspiration from my background in music and yoga: each hour I sit with someone feels like a uniquely co-created piece of music with its particular tempo and flow, and I bring a refined musician’s ear and deeply attuned presence to help reveal the intricacies below the surface.

I hold a great reverence for your process.

For the beautiful and mysterious ways that clarity arises from the space of the unknown, and for each of our innate wiring for healing and growth.

My Background

While pursuing my Masters of Music degree at The Juilliard School, I experienced a series of life-altering events that catalyzed my healing journey, and I have since spent over 14 years studying the nervous system, trauma, and the mind-body connection. In addition to my training as a psychotherapist at the Gestalt Center for Psychotherapy & Training in NYC, I’ve studied and integrated a wide variety of holistic healing methods including several forms of yoga, somatic meditation, self-massage, and therapeutic movement.

I am a creative at heart.

I love to explore, to fine tune, to ask potent questions, to play, to go deep, to be surprised, to find creative solutions, to collaborate. I’m a seeker, totally committed to my own healing journey and those of the people I’m honored to work with. I’m constantly learning and adapting. I’m in love with the process, and the magic that naturally unfolds when we are given a space to feel and move into the fullest expression of ourselves.
